Leadership Institute
The EDC Leadership Institute is a youth leadership program that provides dancers and non-dancers the opportunity to unite as leaders of their community. The group gives students the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships outside of the dance room and showcase their leadership abilities. As advocates for dance education, students engage in service learning, leadership development and character development activities to showcase the transferable skills they gain through dance. Whether you are a dancer at Elevation Dance Company or the star dancer of your living room, we invite all students to join us for an amazing year of fun, friendship, and service.
Requirements:

Be a student in second grade or above.

Have an interest in service and being a community leader.

Commit to meeting twice per month.

One meeting per month

One service event or group bonding/activity day

What opportunities will be available to my child if he/she joins the group?

Participation in service activities inside and outside of the dance studio

Connecting and meeting with various community leaders

Gain leadership skills through opportunities to plan group activities

Attend various workshops

Assist with special events held by Elevation Dance Company

Become a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts
